Learn the language of hygge

Though most people in Denmark speak English on a high level, Danish is the language of the everyday life. Whether at a café, a sports club or the dentist, Danish is the language being used.

And we are here to provide you with the opportunity to participate in your everyday life in Danish.

As an international student you are eligible to free Danish lessons within five years of your arrival in Denmark. And we work closely together with SDU Vejle to make it easy for you to make use of this offer alongside your studies. Your Danish classes will take place at the facilities of SDU Vejle and will be adapted to your course schedule. And you will be in class with your fellow students of SDU for a better opportunity to network and make new friends.

Giving yourself the gift of learning Danish will give you the chance to connect to Danes and make friends with locals at SDU as well as in your spare time. And learning Danish will also expand your options when applying for a job. Because even if Danish may not be required in order to get a job, it is always seen as a plus :)

Who are we?
We are the local language school, where Internationals have learned Danish for more than 20 years.
When you join us, you will learn a useful every day Danish, as well as getting valuable insights into the Danish culture and society. You will learn how to small talk about the weather as well as your weekend plans, to use the word hygge, and pronounce the unique letters æ, ø and å.

Through our try-outs we will give a taste of what it's like to learn Danish with us. Our language courses are so much more than learning a language. It's about opening up a brand new culture, society and way of life. And it's about finding your community.

Activities will include games, pronunciation practice, small talk exercises and digital quizzes. We emphasize having fun while learning - simply because we strongly believe that is how you best learn.

Learning Danish is an adventure. Not always easy - but definitely worth it. We look forward to embarking on this adventure with you!
